CRAFTED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MOKOTA FARM
Our Merino wool is single-source, grown and shorn entirely at Mokota farm. Naturally breathable, soft against the skin, and beautifully temperature-regulating, it’s made for life in motion.
Light yet warm, refined yet easy, this is comfort you can count on through changing seasons.
SUSTAINABLE FARMING, ROOTED IN THE LAND
Mokota is a prominent agricultural and pastoral enterprise proudly owned and operated by the Gebhardt family. Their land spans the rolling hills between Mount Bryan, Booborowie, Leighton, and the Burra Eastern Districts, South Australia, a landscape defined by open skies and resilient soil. Through diversified operations in sheep farming, cropping, and export hay production, the Gebhardts remain dedicated to sustainable farming practices and the continuous advancement of agriculture within the region.
SUPERFINE MERINO WOOL, NATURALLY AUSTRALIAN
From this land comes world-class superfine Merino wool grown in harmony with the natural environment. Mokota’s Merino sheep produce fiber celebrated for its softness, breathability, and resilience. Each strand is fine yet strong, naturally temperature-regulating, and beautifully suited to life in motion. Responsibly grown and carefully crafted, it’s wool that reflects both quality and conscience, made for comfort that endures.
VERIFIED WITH FIBRETRACE®
Every step of the Mokota Merino journey is fully traceable through FibreTrace® technology. FibreTrace® embeds a natural luminescent pigment into the fiber at the source, allowing its journey from farm to fabric to finished garment to be verified and tracked with complete transparency. This partnership with Mokota ensures the integrity of our Merino wool, giving you confidence that every piece is authentically Australian, responsibly made, and traceable back to its origin at Mokota.
FAMILY TIES, FIFTH GENERATIONS
Mokota, a Māori name meaning fine view, has been in the Gebhardt family since the 1850s. What began with Gustav and Caroline Gebhardt, who left Germany to start a new life in South Australia, has become a legacy of land stewardship and quiet innovation.
Today, Mokota spans over 125,000 acres at Mount Bryan, still proudly family-owned and managed by Will and Ali Gebhardt.
Across generations, from Gustav’s first parcels of land to the restoration of the original 1898 homestead by Bill and Peg Gebhardt, the family’s vision has remained the same — to care for the land, the animals, and the community it sustains.
